The Scarlet

We were at Scarlet Hotel over the weekend, and boy was it just amazing. The whole hotel looks like it came out of an Anna Sui magazine... I was thoroughly impressed. We checked in at about 3 and spent all our time in the room, and in bed. Ooo... the bed, the goose feathered pillows, the crisp white sheets... I love hotel beds!




We finally managed to pry ourselves out at 8 and headed for dinner at Desire. Food was pretty good. Service was first rate. We had a really nice waitress, Michelle, and it made the whole fine dining experience a lot less stiffy and a lot more fun. Anyway, onto the food! I had a Wagyu beef steak and A had the king prawn special. Loved the beef... Drooling just thinking about it. The king prawns were succulent and absolutely tantalizing. After that, we had Desire's version of goreng pisang with ice cream. Fine dining indeed, and in the words of A, fine dining is where you get fined for dining...
