A Tap on the Shoulder from an Old Friend

I was having lunch today when suddenly I get this tap on my shoulder. It turned out to be an old friend from school who started work at my office couple of days ago. It’s a big office so you don’t really know people outside those on your floor. It was nice to see a familiar face from long ago and it makes me think of old friends from school. In the afternoon, I write an email to them to tell them who I met at work and that I’m thinking of them and that we should meet up. Within a span of 2 hours, I get a flurry of responses that all say how we’ve moved apart from one another and that we should meet up. I’m going to write to everyone again with a date and a venue this time.
