We just got back from Bangkok and you'd hardly believe there was a coup here. Damn it, what's the use of a military coup when you can't find tanks on the street??
Yes apparently my priorities are a little screwed up. When the coup was staged, the greatest point of significance for me was: Oh cool, we get to see soldiers with guns and tanks!
So there were no tanks. And it was so un-military coup like that the only thing I could get excited over was some green army truck parked along the street. We jumped at that pathetic photo opportunity. It was the only military like thing we saw throughout our trip (minus of course gay boys dancing in army uniforms with their *ahems ahems* sticking very out...).
So much for a military coup. But at least I had a whale of a time.
